Privacy Policy

This policy explains how DM Kokusai Co., Ltd. ("we", "us"), which operates DM Shop, handles your personal data. Contact: [email protected], GS Heim Ochanomizu 203, 3-22-9 Hongo, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo 113-0033, Japan.

What we collect

• Order data: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number if you give it, the items you buy, prices, shipping and payment status.
• Account data (if you create an account): your email address, name, password (stored only as a secure hash), saved addresses and favourites.
• Technical data: the country your visit comes from (used to show the right policies and to apply our shipping restrictions), and the cookies described below.

Card payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details on Stripe's payment page; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe handles your payment data under its own privacy policy.

Why we use your data

• to process, ship and support your order, including refunds and returns;
• to run your account if you have one;
• to meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting records;
• to prevent fraud and to protect our shop and our customers.

We do not sell your personal data. We send marketing emails only if you have asked for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers we need to run the shop: our payment provider (Stripe), the carriers that deliver your order (who need your name, address and contact details, and may pass them to customs authorities), the providers that host our systems and send our emails, and our analytics providers (Cloudflare and Google, see "Analytics and cookies"). Each receives only the data needed for its task.

Your data may be processed in Japan and in other countries where these providers operate.

How long we keep it

• Orders: 7 years after the order, as required for tax and accounting records in Japan. After that the personal details in the order are anonymised.
• Accounts: an account with no sign-in and no order for 3 years may be anonymised.
• Carts and favourites of visitors without an account are deleted after a short period of inactivity.

Analytics and cookies

The shop needs a few cookies to work: a session cookie, a cart cookie, a cookie that remembers your delivery country and a cookie that remembers your analytics choice. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics data for advertising.

• Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and page speed for every visitor. It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites; we see only aggregate figures.
• Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand how our shop is used (for example, which pages are viewed and how many orders are completed). Outside the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it is on by default. Inside them it is used only if you select "Accept" in the cookie banner. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and we do not send your name, email address, postal address or account details to Google. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. If you reject Google Analytics, it is no longer loaded and its cookies are removed from your browser.

If you use the "Translate" menu, the page opens on Google Translate, which is subject to Google's own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete or anonymise it, subject to the records we must keep by law (such as orders for tax purposes). You can also object to marketing at any time. Use the privacy request form on our site or email [email protected]. If you are in the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its date.
